ZENO, ZELDA & ZAIRA table lamps
Atelier Proconsolo
1983
Prior to be revisited and serially produced by Atelier Proconsolo, these lamps were originally designed and handcrafted for the group exhibition “Acciai di Famiglia” held in 1983 at the Florentine art gallery “Alchimia – memorie e luoghi del XX secolo” and presenting new objects designed for the decorative art industry and meant to replace the family’s silverware of blessed memory, simple domestic objects raised to the higher dignity of status symbols for special occasions and society parties. According to the spirit of the exhibition these lamps were conceived as ready-made objects, recycling extremely ordinary items of kitchenware and paraphrasing their original functions, converting them into parallel ones.
Among other designers invited to join this exhibition with their works were Alessandro Mendini, Ugo La Pietra and Remo Buti.
