DISASSEMBLABLE TABLE (cm 157l.x82w.x90h.)
for METALS/Matteo Veronesi, Milano
1989
This project – created to enrich the collection “tables for spaces devoted to fashion” - was inspired by the intention of creating an object in which the mechanical performances of steel (in the working of which METALS/M.Veronesi specialises since ever) could be enhanced by an as much appealing as possible formal conception which, at once, could also work as a supporting surface for one or more of the coating finishes which, at that moment, were the new technological performance of its manufacturer: such intentions have thus originated an object with a slim and unsteady appearance, to which is opposed the absolute strength of its construction, as well as the peculiar resistance of the employed materials, both enhanced by its specific formal conception and assemblage.
