After a long gestation, the ADI Design Museum, which houses the historic collection of the "Compasso d'Oro" - the renown prize annually awarded, since 1954, by the Association for Industrial Design to the best design products - finally welcomes its first visitors today . The opening of a new exhibition space of such impressive dimensions dedicated to the project represents a response to the uncertainties of this historical moment and an important signal for Milan, which intends to reaffirm its status as the world capital of design. The permanent collection, curated by director Beppe Finessi, is named "The spoon and the city", from the famous slogan coined by Ernesto Nathan Rogers, to summarize the extreme heterogeneity of the projects selected and awarded over the years. Among these is the collection of DOMO objects, the collective operation of reinterpretation of traditional Sardinian craftsmanship which, in 2011, earned the participating designers and artisans not one but two Compasso d'Oro. A warm thank to ILISSO Edizioni, promoter of the initiative, and to the curators Annalisa Cocco and Roberta Morittu. @adidesignmuseum @annalisacoccodesign @ilissoedizioni
