Russian Architectural Award 2007 Ceremony

Within the framework of Interior Show 2007, the Architectural Award 2007 Ceremony was held. Architectural Award, an annual competition in the sphere of private architecture, was established by SALON-Press Publishing House and in 2007, it has got an international status. The Ceremony was presented by Juliya Menshova and Alexey Agranovitch.
This year, the project of Nina Prudnikova, Pavel Burmakin and Peter Yushin – a house in the Moscow area – has got the prize in the “Traditions. Private House Interior” nomination. This house was designed in minimalist style with warm accents of natural wood. The ArchiP statuette was given by Olavi Koponen, a well-known finnish architect. In the “Traditions. Apartment Interior” nomination the prize was given to Mikhail Soloviev-Petko and Olga Motina for their project of the apartment in St. Petersburg which they decorated as a loft with pre-revolutionary urban details. The foreign architects solely became prizewinners in the Innovations nomination. The prize of the “Innovations. Private House Interior” was given to Alvaro Leite Siza Vieira (the son of Alvaro Siza, the Portugal’s greatest architect) for his unique cubistic and futuristic house built on the Casa Tolo cliff in Lugar das Carvalhinhas (Portugal). Austrian architects Roman Delugan and Elke Delugan-Meissl (Delugan Meissl Associated Architects) got the prize in the Apartment Interior category for their “pure minimalist” interior of the House Ray 1 in Vienna. And finally the Public Place Interior award was given to Pierluigi Piu (Italy) and his design of the Olivomare restaurant (London) with a rich violet facade and an ocean-like inner space.
